A History of Serving Companies Just Like Yours
Planning Grounds™ is located in Scottsdale, Arizona and was created in 2007 by financial advisors who were focused on finding a way to provide a high level of financial counseling to the general public. They were passionate about personal finance but were frustrated that the traditional financial advising model focused on serving the wealthy while ignoring the majority of the public who has the greatest need.
These financial counselors quickly realized how employees, and the employer, could benefit from a workforce that is less financially stressed. Many employers care deeply about the total well-being of their employees, and while providing medical and other wellness programs, they were unable to offer similar programs in the financial wellness arena. Our concept provides employees with the ability to receive a robust employer-provided financial wellness program, which offers an immediate benefit to the employer: less stressed and more productive employees.
Within a year of launching this service, these advisors were serving companies and their employees in the greater Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area.
In 2011, we rebranded and Planning Grounds™ officially launched as its own independent company. The focus of Planning Grounds™ is to deliver a high level of personal service that only quality, independent financial counselors provide, as an employee benefit.

All our financial professionals that serve our employer relationships are carefully vetted. All providers are required to complete annual continuing education related to personal finance and must be working towards an accreditation if not already in place. We require all of our counselors to attend weekly counseling studies and market update meetings.
Many of our financial professionals have teaching experience and cross-cultural experience. We pride ourselves in finding the right financial planners to fit the specific situation of the employee being served.
